Honolua Bay
[Photo: Green Sea Turtle] Honolua Bay is a beautiful Marine Sanctuary located in a protective cove in Northwest Maui. Known for its clam and clear waters, Honolua Bay is a popular snorkel and dive destination. The reef abounds with tropical fish and is home to many endangered Green Sea Turtles.

Snorkelers can enjoy the shallow reef which is great for viewing fish and other marine life. Divers can enter from beach or boat and will often encounter green sea turtles and occasionally, spinner dolphins. Honolua Bay can be dove from either the right or left side of the bay. if you are interested in diving Honolua Bay from shore, email ETAmaui and we'll give you information on access, entry and exit.

Kapalua Kai

Just the facts...
Enjoy sailing, snorkeling and diving, and a deli style lunch buffet aboard the 53 ft. sailing catamaran "KAPALUA KAI", departing Kaanapali Beach daily. This is a trip the entire family (both divers and non-divers) can enjoy. A spacious lounging area on the cabin top and the netted trampolines, both with custom body size cushions means there's plenty of room for sunbathing and relaxing.
Our snorkel/dive destination, Honolua Bay Marine Sanctuary is located on the Northwest side of Maui. While Honolua Bay is the Kapalua Kai's preferred snorkel site, alternate sites may be chosen due to weather conditions. Marine life at the bay includes endangered and protected Green Sea Turtles and a variety of reef fish, many that are endemic to Hawaiian waters.
Upon arrival at Honolua Bay, snorkelers will be fitted with top quality snorkel equipment and instruction will be given to beginners. Divers are first in the water, having completed a safety briefing enroute to Honolua Bay given by our certified instructor and dive guide. Both divers and snorkelers will enjoy swimming with green sea turtles and colorful reef fish, amongst the large coral formations. Non snorkelers can enjoy the action as well through our glass bottom window.
