Diving Molokini and South Maui
[Photo: White Tip Reef Shark] Molokini Crater is a half submerged extinct volcanic crater located near South Maui. It has become one of Maui's most featured snorkel and dive attractions. The sheltered lagoon within the crater, with its warm waters and coral reefs is home to a wide variety of marine life and is great for both snorkelers and divers. The "backside" of Molokini, the famous "Back Wall" reigns supreme as Maui's only real wall diving. Divers delight in the sheer beauty of the wall, the clarity of the water and the marine life that make this incredible place home. Often, divers will look down the 300 foot wall to see white tip reef sharks swimming by, some 100 feet below them.

South Maui holds it own when it comes to great diving. Sites like La Perouse Bay and Makena are unique and exciting. If you're diving South Maui, expect to see some unbelievable marine life, many of which are endemic to the Hawaiian islands.
